FED: National road toll rises to 15

SYDNEY, Dec 28 AAP - The national road toll for the Christmas-New Year holiday period
rose to 15 today following the death of a woman on the NSW south coast.

Police said the woman from Moruya died in a two-car collision on the Pacific Highway
near the holiday town.

Last night, a 28-year-old man died when his car skidded on a gravel road and overturned
about 200km south of Perth.

New South Wales leads the holiday road toll with four deaths. Western Australia, South
Australia and Victoria have each recorded three fatalities, and Tasmania and the ACT one
each.

No-one has been killed on roads in Queensland or the Northern Territory.
