NSW: Staff shuffling as Martin back on screen
As RAY MARTIN returned to host Channel Nine's A Current Affair tonight, the station'snews and current affairs director has jumped ship to join the Seven Network.
Seven confirmed the move by PETER MEAKIN -- the second major defection from Nine toSeven this year -- but Nine hasn't commented.
MEAKIN is set to join programmer JOHN STEPHENS who's also moved on to the Seven Network.
MEAKIN'S departure also comes with the network trumpeting the return of MARTIN as thehost of A Current Affair.
Insiders say the staff shuffling at Nine has been due largely to PBL Media boss JOHNALEXANDER, who's been given responsibility for Nine as well as Australian ConsolidatedPress, following the sacking of DAVID LECKIE.
